South Australian Science Teachers Association (SASTA) Annual Conference	15 - 16 April	South Australian science teachers	Flinders sponsors this key event for South Australian science teachers.   Two cutting edge Flinders presenters will address the conference.
Mathematical Association of South Australian (MASA) Annual Conference	23 - 24 April	South Australian teachers of mathematics	Flinders is a proud sponsor of this event and will be in attending the conference.  Please come chat with us.
Faculty of Science and Engineering prize ceremony	18 April	Award recipients, academics, sponsors, family and friends	The Faculty of Science and Engineering host a prize ceremony in April to recognise the outstanding academic achievements of our students.

Teacher Professional Development Event	18 June	High school Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Geography teachers	Each year the Faculty of Science and Engineering hosts professional development activities for teachers and school staff.
Inspiring Women in Engineering and IT	25 June	Year 10,11 & 12 Female high school students	A day of activities to inspire young women to pursue a career in the disciplines of engineering, information technology and mathematics.
Chemical Murder Mystery	26 June	Year 10 Students	A very popular full day of forensic science activities. Collect samples from a 'crime scene' and participate in hands-on laboratory sessions.
JULY

Science and Engineering Challenge	25 - 26 July	High School students	A fun hands-on school science competition held each year at various locations around Australia.  Flinders will host schools on campus for 2 days of the challenge.
AUGUST
Science Alive!	9 - 11 Aug	High School students (Friday)	A community event that aims to promote the wonder and excitement of science through amazing science shows and a huge range of hands-on activities.  Come and visit us at the Flinders booth.
Open Day	16 - 17 Aug	All welcome	For 2 days our campus life is on display.  Staff and students are available to discuss courses, careers and student support.  Watch out for Science and Engineering tours and presentations!
SEPTEMBER
Parent Information Evening	10 Sept	Families with students in years 11 & 12	The session is designed to help parents and families support their high school students in their end of year exams and to gain a clear understanding of how the university application and selection process works.

The Science Experience	TBA	Year 9 & 10 students	Each year universities all around Australia offer a 3 day, fun-filled science experience for high school students going onto year 10.  The Flinders event includes hands-on activities in biology, robotics, nanotechnology, physics and chemistry
