Leica SP5 5-channel confocal microscope with Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy and Resonant Scanner
The Leica SP5 Confocal Microscope is designed for imaging molecular interactions within fixed and living cells and tissues. The microscope features 4 lasers and 5 fully-programmable detection channels for fluorescence as well as a transmitted light detector. It is also coupled to a fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) system which enables direct measurement of the diffusion of fluorescently-labelled particles. Other analytical methods such as FRET and FRAP also are available. The resonant scanner allows very high-speed imaging of living cells and their components.
