Samantha Kruger

Samantha Kruger began working with the Flinders Speech Pathology Department in July 2000, after working as a Speech Pathologist in Hamilton (Victoria) with the Department of Education, Employment and Training. She is currently the Director of Clinical Services.

She is actively involved in clinical education and a number of multi-disciplinary Allied Health initiatives within FMC, in particular the development of the Acute Neurological Care and Elderly Rehabilitation unit at FMC. Samantha is also the executive Allied Health representative on the South Australian Stroke Unit Network, and maintains a strong interest in multi-disciplinary stroke unit care.

She has completed a clinical research project investigating swallowing problems in patients with chronic obstructive airways disease (COAD or emphysema). Samantha also maintains a keen interest in literacy and learning difficulties in school-age children and has contributed to the development of the new Flinders University specialised literacy clinics.
