The Master in Speech Pathology is a 2 year full fee paying course for both domestic and international students, accepting a cohort of 18 students per annum. The course runs from the end of January until the end of November each year. The topics are spread over a 4 week intensive in January / February then 2 semesters which follow the regular university calendar. This course involves an innovative, enquiry based curriculum, incorporating a PBL format. Learning experiences will be accessible both on and off campus, providing opportunities to integrate theory with clinical practice. The Master of Speech Pathology can only be undertaken on a full-time basis.
Students will undertake a number of clinical placements across the course which will ensure they reach the competencies required to practise in Australia and many other countries in the world. These will be offered in metropolitan Adelaide as well as rural and remote areas, including Darwin and Alice Springs with the possibility of international placements.
Graduates of the Flinders Master of Speech Pathology will be equipped to begin practice in a wide range of health and educational settings. The course will foster students’ ability to respond effectively to the changing nature of professional knowledge and practice, ensuring their ability to provide quality services throughout their working life.
Accreditation of the Master of Speech Pathology
The program has been accredited untill 2011 by Speech Pathology Australia, the professionsal accrediting body for all speech pathology programs in Australian universities.

Applicants will be notified of receipt of their application. All suitable applicants will be required to participate in an interview as part of the application process. You will be notified of the time and place of the interview once the applications have been processed. Phone interviews will be available for applicants who are interstate or offshore.
