Staff Development and Training Bursaries

(Flinders University Foundation Course Entry)

These bursaries are awarded annually and are funded by the Staff Development and Training Unit of Flinders University. They have been established to encourage selected staff of Flinders University to undertake the Flinders University Foundation Course. The value of each bursary will be the cost of undertaking the Foundation Course in any one year. The number to be awarded each year (maximum of two) will be decided by a selection panel. As part of the University’s affirmative action program one bursary each year will be reserved for a female staff member.

Eligibility

Applicants for these bursaries must:

  • have applied for admission to the Flinders University Foundation Course;
  • be staff members of Flinders University with a minimum of a one year contract and an appointment of greater than 0.4 fraction;
  • be Australian citizens or Permanent Residents.

Tenure

These bursaries will be awarded to students in the year in which they propose to undertake the Flinders University Foundation Course.

Applications

Applications must be made on the prescribed form available for downloading in Word or PDF format. Alternatively you can contact the Staff Development and Training Unit for a copy to be sent via the Internal Mail. Applications need to be lodged with the University by the end of January.

Selection

These bursaries will be awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Applicants must demonstrate that they have experienced financial disadvantages which might normally reduce their chances of being able to undertake the Foundation Course.

Selection Panel

Applications will be considered by a panel consisting of a representative of the Access and Equity Unit and a representative of the Staff Development and Training Unit. One member of this panel must be a female.
