Work-Integrated Learning Forum

Course description

Work-integrated learning (WIL) is an intentional, organised, supervised and assessed educational activity that integrates theoretical learning with its applications in the workplace.  WIL can occur:

  • as directed work experience in an industry or professional workplace (e.g. field placement, practicum or internship);
  • in simulated workplace settings on campus; or
  • through assessment activities designed to simulate authentic workplace activities or requirements.

This Forum provides an opportunity for all staff with an interest in WIL activities to discuss common issues, share experience and expertise, and feed into proposals for the management and organisation of these activities and their implementation across the University.

Anyone with an interest in WIL is invited to attend.  Please contact me if you have any suggestions for topics to be discussed on the day.
