ESOS Compliance - Face to face

Course description

The Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 is intended to protect overseas students coming to Australia on student visas and sets out roles and responsibilities for educational institutions wanting to teach overseas students.

Educational institution responsibilities cover areas such as marketing, recruitment, recognition of prior learning, attendance, enrolment load and support services for overseas students. Staff involved in marketing, recruiting, teaching and advising overseas students should understand their responsibilities in regard to this act to support University compliance.

This face to face session outlines staff responsibilities under the relevant legislation and is particularly relevant to new staff members.

For more information for new staff, visit the New Staff Webpage.
