Using the telephone

The University's phone system is provided for business purposes. Internal calls to extensions within the University, including the Mark Olaphant building, are made by dialing the 5-digit extension number. Calls made on campus start with 1 (eg. 12345). To dial Flinders Medical Centre extensions, dial 4, then the full 5-digit extension, (eg. 464815). Calls to Adelaide University and University of South Australia are made by dialing the last 5-digit of the full number. There are no charges for these calls. Your direct in-dial number is the prefix 820, followed by the direct internal extension number shown on your handset. Outgoing calls may be made by dialing '0' followed by the number you require. The costs of all calls are charged to your Faculty, School or Division.

You can search for internal extensions at the Online Staff Directory.
