Parking on campus

Parking on campus is only permitted in designated areas.

Between 9:00am and 5:00pm (6:00am to 6:00pm in Car Park 12) you must display a valid permit or park in a metered bay.

Parking areas are marked on the university map.

A general speed limit of 50kph applies on campus and is enforced by the South Australian Police.

Regular parking

Staff, students and regular visitors can purchase annual or semester permits. These are valid in the general parking areas set aside in all car parks except 6 and 18.

Permits can be purchased from the Cashier's Office on the ground floor of the Registry.

The 2008 parking permit (PDF 20KB) includes current fees.

Short-term parking

Day permits valid for 24 hours from the time of purchase can be used in all car parks except 6, 12 and 18.

They can be purchased from:

  • the Cashier's Office
  • vending machines in the information bay near the university's main entrance
  • vending machines in car parks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 15 on the main campus and in car parks 13, 14 and 16 on the Sturt campus.

Four Hour ticketed bays are in car park 18 at Sturt (4-hour limit) and car park 6 near the Registry (4 hours on top deck, no limit on lower deck).

Two-hour metered bays are provided in car parks 4, 5, 7 and 15.
