Policies and procedures
All research higher degree candidates should be aware of
the policies and procedures applicable to their candidacy.
Most programs are administered according to the policies
and procedures set down for students.

Note that some degrees that include a compulsory
coursework component may be administered according to the
policies and procedures for Research

General Flinders University student-related
policies and procedures also apply to higher degree research candidates.
Administration and assistance
Research higher degrees are governed by Statute
7.3 Masters Degrees and Statute
7.4 Doctoral Degrees, and the Rules made pursuant to them.
The University Research Higher Degrees Committee (which includes
two student members) is responsible for policy development
and monitoring.
Routine administration is conducted at faculty level and overseen
by the faculty's Higher Degrees Committee (which includes
at least one student member)
The Higher Degree Administration
and Scholarships Office is a first point of contact for
students and academic staff for non-routine matters.
The Office
of Research can provide information about intellectual
property, post-doctoral awards and research grants.
