Student support

Academic and personal support

Research higher degree students have access to all student services at Flinders, including health and counselling, accommodation assistance, a Student Learning Centre and a Careers and Employer Liaison Centre.

There is also specialised support for Indigenous Australian, international students and students with disabilities. Also visit our Current Students website.

Professional Development Program

A Professional Development Program for research higher degree students is run jointly by the Staff Development and Training Unit and the Student Learning Centre. It includes sessions on research skills and management, academic writing, publications and structuring a thesis, presentations and generic computer skills. Both centres also have a variety of other resources.

Information technology

All students are given electronic mail facilities, and research students have remote login facilities to the University's research computers. Access to the Internet and World Wide Web, word processing, database and spreadsheet software is available on Macintosh or Windows personal computers housed in the various student computer laboratories on campus, including the library.
