Teaching Strategies and Resources

The Teaching for Learning website aims to assist academics to find useful ideas to enhance their teaching and so improve students’ learning experiences, and to provide resources for engaging in the scholarship of teaching.

This website hosts resources from tips on how to more effectively engage students in classroom discussion to advice on curriculum design, online learning and the latest assessment methods. Academics can use the website to get updates on teaching methods and educational developments. The site is intended to complement teaching and is an answer to the problem of academics being too busy to attend workshops, as current workloads have made it very difficult for them to find the time. It also addresses the problem of some experienced academics who often indicate they need some very practical assistance and want to ask some very basic questions. The website provides many answers which staff could simply be directed to without having to attend workshops
