Awards and grants

Flinders University encourages and supports staff to apply for institutional and nationally-funded programs that reward innovative and significant contributions to learning and teaching in higher education. Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching staff are available to assist with application proposals, peer review and submission.

Visit CILT's Awards and Grants page for more information.

 Academic confirmations and promotions

Both the Flinders University confirmation of employment and academic promotion processes demand and reward teaching excellence and innovation through the use of peer and other reviews of teaching, including Student Evaluations of Teaching.  This evidence of teaching effectiveness usually covers a number of years and topics. Evidence of sustained excellence across all aspects of academic profile are also required (e.g. teaching, skill base and qualifications, research and/or creative activity, administration and professional service).

Visit the Academic promotions webpage for more information on this year’s round.
