There are a variety of awards and grants available for Flinders University staff. These aim to recognise and promote teaching excellence and innovation through the university.
The Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Teaching is presented to teaching teams and individual academic staff. It offers award winners a prize to be used to further enhance teaching excellence within the university.
The Teaching and Learning Innovations Grants Scheme is an institution-wide internal funding scheme for new developments in teaching and learning. It calls for formal applications and allocates funds competitively against specified criteria.
Each year, outstanding teaching (whether by individuals or teams) is recognised and celebrated through a group of national teaching awards known as the Carrick Awards for Australian University Teaching (CAAUT). The awards allow recognition of a wider range of university staff and more diverse contributions to learning and teaching.
