Teaching awards and grants celebrate and endorse outstanding achievement and innovation in teaching and learning at the university level.
Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Teaching
These annual awards recognise exceptional teaching practice by individuals or teams across all 4 faculties. Winners receive a Certificate of Excellence in Teaching and a $5,000 prize to be used to further enhance teaching excellence within the University.

Teaching and Learning Innovation Grants
This institution-wide internal funding scheme aims to support projects which show innovation in any aspects of teaching, learning and/or assessment. Formal applications are invited and funds allocated competitively against specified criteria.

ALTC Awards for University Teaching
The Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) offer annual national awards which recognise and celebrate quality and excellence in university teaching and learning (whether by individuals or teams).
ALTC Grants
The ALTC administers nationally competitive grants under the ALTC Grants Scheme as well as through the ALTC Fellowships and Discipline-based Initiatives programs.
ALTC Fellowships
The aim of the Fellowship Scheme is to advance learning and teaching in higher education by supporting leading educators to undertake strategic, high profile fellowship activities in areas that support the Mission of the Council.
Faculty Teaching Awards/ Executive Dean's Awards
All faculties offer Faculty Teaching Awards to reward and acknowledge staff for excellence in university-level teaching within the faculty. Faculty Teaching Awards close in the second half of the year. Staff should contact their Faculty Office for more information.
