Sessionally employed teaching staff may be required to participate in training workshops facilitated by the Staff Development and Training Unit.
If you are required to participate in the training sessions, you will be paid at OD1 Rate for each hour of training required. For more information, refer to salary scales.
Sessionally employed teachers are entitled to participate in any of the workshops offered by the Staff Training and Development Unit, including:

Flinders Learning Online for sessional staff (FLOSS) is an online resource where you can access readings and other information. It also provides and avenue to communicate with other sessional staff and/or members of the academic development team.
You can also arrange a meeting with an academic developer to discuss your specific needs. This could involve dealing with classroom issues, grading, clinical supervision or lab demonstration. Email the Staff Development and Training Unit to arrange an appointment.
