Australian Collaborative Education Network

The Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) is the professional association for practitioners and researchers from the higher education sector, industry, community and government representatives involved in Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) in Australia.

Flinders University staff representation in ACEN management:

National Committee: Associate Professor Heather Smigiel

SA/NT State Manager: Ceri Macleod

As an ACEN member you will be joining the national leading network for WIL and thereby extending your opportunities to access and be a part of the ongoing development and research in WIL, both at a national and global level.  ACEN is a partner of the World Association of Cooperative Education (WACE) and has negotiated an arrangement whereby membership of ACEN automatically provides for concurrent WACE membership.

Flinders University is an institutional member which allows any staff member to register as a member at no extra cost.

Innovative Research Universities (IRU)

IRU is a network of seven comprehensive universities conducting research of national and international standing. The IRU network has national reach, with an institutional presence in every mainland State of Australia and the Northern Territory.
