A prior degree in any discipline.Students should have completed at least half of their degree.
Topic description
Students undertake a project for industry: spending time in the workplace, experiencing work and life in industry and writing a report about an employer issue. This opportunity is available for students when appropriate projects are available and where student knowledge and ability matches the needs of the project. Projects must be identified and formally approved and assessment must be discussed and formally approved before students enter the workplace.
Educational aims
This topic aims to broaden a student's knowledge, skills and experience through an applied project in the workplace.
Expected learning outcomes
On successful completion of this topic students should be able to:
- Apply business knowledge to a workplace setting
- Demonstrate the ability to operate in the workplace
- Write a professional business report about a topic relevant to the employer
