Topic description
Students undertake a project in another country: spending time abroad, experiencing work and life in an international setting and writing an in-depth report and reflection for assessment. This opportunity is available to students when appropriate projects are available and where student knowledge and ability matches the needs of the project. Projects must be identified and formally approved and assessment must be discussed and formally approved before students make arrangements to go abroad.
Educational aims
The topic aims to broaden a student's knowledge, skills and life experience through an applied project for a workplace in another country.
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students should be able to:
  • Apply business knowledge to an international workplace setting
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate in the workplace in another country
  • Write a professional business report about a topic relevant to the employer
