Topic description
This topic explores advanced issues in creative writing, and related research areas. Students will be required to present on issues relating to creative writing, and the creative arts more broadly, and respond to presentations by other students, and staff.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- deepen students' understanding of contemporary issues in creative writing, and related research
- develop students' critical reasoning skills
- develop students' oral and written presentation skills
- prepare students for the completion of their Honours thesis
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to:
- demonstrate the ability to apply their knowledge and understanding of research principles, in relation to one or more contemporary areas of research in creative writing
- demonstrate the ability to apply critical reasoning skills
- present their ideas, and research, both verbally and in writing
