Topic description
In this topic students will continue to develop show-reels. All students are required to show a capacity to integrate concepts and skills gained from all areas of their drama training.

Note: Contact hours will vary according to rehearsal and production schedules. Please contact topic coordinator for timetable details.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:

  • equip students with the skills necessary for eventual employment as actors and directors in the theatre, television, and film industries
  • provide students with the necessary material in the form of portfolios, show-reels, and live presentations, to secure personal agents and employment through general auditions
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will have refined the vocal, physical, emotional, and interpretive skills required by professional actors to successfully audition for employment, such as:

  • the ability to prepare performance work for an audition context

  • the ability to prepare audition pieces for a variety of genres

  • skills in preparing audition material for show-reels
