Topic description
This topic provides students with fundamental and theoretical foundations of information and communication technologies necessary for managing and administering networked systems. In addition, it will enable students to acquire practical skills needed to plan, install, configure and manage computer networks.
Educational aims
Students will gain an understanding of the role/scope of a system and network administrator; tasks required to manage computer systems and undertake operational tasks; configuration of network services and security policies.
Expected learning outcomes
At the completion of the topic, students are expected to be able to:
