Topic description
This topic will explore contemporary theory and practice in environmental management. It aims to equip students with an understanding of some central issues associated with the social nature of environmental management and to refine student knowledge and skills required to deal with environmental issues in the community
Educational aims
  1. Equip the student with an understanding of some central issues associated with the social nature of environmental management
  2. Add to and refine the knowledge and skills students have and will require to deal with environmental issues in the community
Expected learning outcomes
At the completion of this topic, students are expected to be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of some key issues in contemporary theory and practice of environmental management
  2. Demonstrate high-level written and Web based analytical and presentation skills in relation to key environmental management issues
  3. Deliver an effective spoken presentation to peers
