Topic description
This topic provides detailed exploration of two axis from the conceptual framework of symbiotic clinical education: namely the personal/professional axis and the government/community axis. This topic will build on the earlier understandings of symbiosis from HLED9101 - which are that clinical education is most effective when there is a mutual benefit to all stakeholders involved. Students will explore through dialogue and debate two axis of the symbiotic clinical education model and extend their understandings of relationships and interconnections with all stakeholders in health professional education. This topic will explore the theoretical constructs that underpin the personal/professional aspects of clinical education and workforce development. Students are invited to explore examples from their own experiences and understandings. This topic is a core component of the graduate certificate. This topic is available externally as fully on-line or internally as a mix of online engagement and an intensive workshop.
