This topic is only available in Master of Arts (International Relations in Economy and Trade) Programs in China and Singapore.
Topic description
This topic aims to enable students to identify the major international trade institutions, their procedures and policies and understand the historical development of international trade law and its dispute resolution mechanisms through these institutions. It will also seek to evaluate the policies and practices of global free trade and economic liberalisation and consider the relationship between international trade law, human rights, the environment and development.
