Topic description
This topic offers students opportunities to extend further previous knowledge in the broad field of language studies (French, Indonesian, Italian, Modern Greek and Spanish). Students will be required to undertake independent study on a topic to be negotiated with their supervisor.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- further develop students' skills in language proficiency at an advanced level
- give students the opportunity to undertake independent research in a specialised area of language studies at an advanced level
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to:
- identify, observe and analyse a specialised area of language studies
- plan for and carry out a written investigation in a defined area of language studies
