This topic offers students possibilities to extend further previous knowledge in the field of Applied Linguistics. Students will be required to undertake independent study on a topic to be negotiated with their supervisor.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- develop further students' skills in Applied Linguistics at an advanced level
- give students the opportunity to undertake independent research in a specialised area of Applied Linguistics
Expected learning outcomes
On completing this topic students will be able to:
- identify, observe and analyse a specialised area of Applied Linguistics
- plan for and carry out a written investigation in a defined area of Applied Linguistics
