Topic description
In this topic, students will develop specialised knowledge and skills for designing, implementing and evaluating curricula in diverse health education settings.
Educational aims
The aim of this topic is for students to develop specialised knowledge, understanding and skills to plan for and enhance learning in diverse health educational settings through curriculum development.
Expected learning outcomes
On successful completion of this topic students will be able to:

  • Critically review approaches to curriculum development.

  • Develop learning aims and objectives that guide curriculum development

  • Design a range of student learning assessment strategies that align with learning aims and objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate learning resources and learning activities to meet curriculum needs.

  • Plan a curriculum evaluation process
