Topic description
Students will devise a project in Digital Media to be realised in subsequent topics. The focus will be on conception and planning, including the budgetary, administrative, logistical, and collaborative requirements for the pre-production of a major project.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:

  • develop students' skills in the conception and development of a major project in digital media

  • develop students' skills in aethestics, planning, budgeting, logistics and management of a major project

  • develop students' skills in communication and collaboration with students and staff required for advanced project work

  • provide students with the skills and knowledge to undertake risk assessment and the appropriate paperwork for the successful realisation of a major project
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to:

  • develop and present an outline of a proposed project

  • understand and implement the collaborative and management requirements of a major project

  • undertake the required logistical tasks for a project, including finance and risk assessment
