Topic description
In this topic students will produce a short animated film project connected to the successful pitch from SCME8304. Each team member will work in their chosen area of specialisation, to contribute to the creation of the final project,
Educational aims
This topic aims to:

  • extend the creative, technical and communication skills and ability required by students to work in multidisciplinary teams as part of a full professional production pipeline

  • provide students with the opportunity to develop a team pitch into a final animated film project

  • generate professional workflow practices from pre-production to production and post-production

  • enable students to further enhance their technical and creative skills and knowledge to collaboratively produce industry standard film productions
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to

  • fulfil defined tasks and meet production milestones within the production pipeline

  • demonstrate high-level creative and technical proficiency and the ability to work autonomously in their role in the production pipeline

  • demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to give, receive and apply critical feedback to improve their own professional practice

  • demonstrate the ability to investigate, analyse and solve complex creative and/or technical problems
