SCRN7051 has been successfully completed

This topic requires students to develop concepts for a short documentary, television commercial or a narrative website.

Students are then required to work collaboratively to write, design and produce video sound, stills and where appropriate animation for delivery via a range of distribution pathways (e.g., websites, DVDs)

This topic aims to:

• introduce students to advanced documentary research and scriptwriting, that will enable them to develop a concept suitable for traditional and online delivery

• provide students with an understanding of digital formats, production and distribution pathways

• ensure that students understand the importance of research and scriptwriting to the development of screen forms

• expose students to, and extend their knowledge of a range of screen forms

• enable students to develop, research and deliver screen projects within a limited time

• provide students with opportunities to collaborate creatively and solve problems with their peers

On completion of this topic students will

• identify script elements and analyse script structures suitable for a range of screen forms

• evaluate and develop their own production skills

• collaborate with their peers in script development and project delivery

• show evidence of initiative and creativity

• demonstrate problem solving on a creative piece of work

• develop, research, write and deliver a range of creative work
