Topic description
This topic is the capstone topic in the Human Resource Management specialisation. It focuses on the concepts and processes for understanding strategic human resource management and the management of change in contemporary organisation settings, the role of the HR professional as strategic architect, stakeholder manager, and culture and change agent, and the application of that knowledge to improve business performance through human resource effectiveness. Topics addressed include HR strategy and policy, the HR professional as an agent for change and strategic architect in creating dynamic and productive organisational environments; developing excellence; improving workforce competency and creating profitable and sustainable organisations.
Educational aims
This topic is the capstone topic of the human resource management specialisation and it aims to integrate and extend the professional and theoretical knowledge and skills provided in earlier topics in the specialisation to align outcomes of the HR capabilities of strategic architects, stakeholder managers and culture and change agents.
Expected learning outcomes
On successful completion of this topic students should be able to:
