In this topic, students will develop their understanding, critical analysis and application of advanced theories related to critical care practice.

The aim of this topic is to develop students’ understanding, critical analysis and application of advanced theories related to critical care practice.

On successful completion of this topic students will be able to:

apply concepts and definitions of complex critical illness
apply the specialised knowledge required to conduct a focused physical assessment of the complex critically ill patient
analyse evidence to determine clinical interventions to achieve quality and safety in patient outcomes
effectively practice as a member of an inter-professional team.
