Membership

AFUW-SA Inc is a self-funded organization. Your membership income, fund-raising and donations therefore enable us to continue our important work in improving the educational opportunities and living standards of women and girls around the world.

Membership forms are available by either contacting the Membership Officer or by clicking here.

To join, either:

  1. post the form to us with a cheque enclosed, or
  2. email the application form as an attachment to afuw.sa@gmail.com and pay the fee by direct electronic transfer to BankSA, BSB: 105-027, Account number: 129480940. Under "Transaction Details", please put your name and "AFUW-SA membership".
Categories of Membership
Full Members &
Postgraduate Students
  • Women who have graduated in a degree program from a university or comparable institution
  • Have full voting rights and membership entitlements
  • Receive the bi-monthly newsletter
Associate Members &
Undergraduate Affiliates
  • Women who are diploma holders conferred by a university or comparable institution; or are currently enrolled in a degree course
  • No voting rights
  • Receive the bi-monthly newsletter
Honorary Members
  • Those members who have been selected by the AFUW-SA committee to be an honorary member
  • Guest members are honorary members for one year following the date of their conferral
  • No voting rights
  • Receive the bimonthly newsletter for twelve months

Donations

Donations are tax-deductable and can be made at any time. Please contact the AFUW-SA for further information.
