Flinders University is the first Australian tertiary institution to join other Australian business leaders, the Australian Government and Indigenous leaders in a commitment to improve the employment prospects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

As a Corporate Leader signatory, Flinders acknowledges its responsibility for developing and implementing measures to provide equal employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians and recognises that the future economic independence of Indigenous Australians depends to a considerable extent on their ability to be provided with access to work.

There are many career opportunities available for Indigenous Australians at the University as administrative, professional, techical and academic staff.

The University's strategy for Indigenous peoples employment is available at: http://www.flinders.edu.au/employment/esia/aims-objectives.cfm.
