Program of study

To qualify for the Master of Screen and Media Production a student must complete 54 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the following program of study:

Core - Year 1 & 2 topics

Complete 18-27 units from:

SCME8001 Screen and Media Production 1, Production (4.5 units)#
SCME8002 Screen and Media Production 2, Post Production (4.5 units)#
SCME8003 Screen and Media Production 3, Minor project (4.5 units)
SCME8004 Screen and Media Production 4, Research and Writing (4.5 units)
SCME8011 Major Project Research (4.5 units)
SCME9000 Screen and Media Production 5, Advanced Camera Techniques (4.5 units)

# Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Screen and Media Production are exempt from completing SCME8001 and SCME8002 and should choose 9 units of Screen and Media option topics (listed below) instead.

Option - Major Project

Select either 13.5 units or 18 units from

Elective Topics

Select elective topics to make up a total of 54 units. Electives may be chosen from any postgraduate topic offered by the University, provided topic prerequisites are met.
