Recommendations from Dr van Duivenvoorde through the University have allowed me to undertake an internship in Sri Lanka and currently at the Naval History and Heritage Command in Washington DC. I was also part of the discovery of South Australia’s oldest shipwreck The South Australian, and I took part in the excavation of parts of a shipwreck called The Amazon which wrecked in Inverloch, Victoria. Due to these practical experiences, it is now significantly easier for me to understand the theoretical part of maritime archaeology.
