Graduated from Medicine at Monash University in 2002. Spent 5 years hospital based, including a year the the Royal Children's Hospital, a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy and experience in emergency and as a medical registrar in Melbourne and Geelong. Finished Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine then completed 2 missions with Medecins Frontieres in Darfur, Sudan and Somaliland, Ethiopia. Returned and spent a year in the Kimberley based in Broome and the remote WA community of Balgo. While in the Kimberley worked at Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Centre (KAMSC) as one of two "Renal GPs" for the Kimberley's population. Completed General Practice Training and moved to the NT in early 2011. In the NT has worked as a Senior Lecturer for the NTMP (initially Year 3 Coordinator then Year 1 & 2 Clinical Skills Coordinator), as well as a General Practitioner. Has also been a Senior Rural Generalist at Tennant Creek hospital. Is an instructor on the emergency course Rural Emergency Skills Training (REST). Is the Supervisor Liaison Officer for GP Supervisors in the Northern Territory.
