My background is in marketing and communications. Prior to working at Flinders University, I worked in a variety of marketing, communications and web project roles.

My experience at Flinders University has included a range of roles responsible for website management through to the use of other digital platforms, primarily to support the University's external marketing and enagagement activities.

My role as Web Lead sits within the Office of Communication, Marketing and Engagement. The key focus of this role at the moment is on the Web Transformation program. This program is made up of a series of projects to transform our external website presence.

The project team I am responsible for includes content producers and coordinators, a copywriter, a videographer, a web automation lead, designers and developers, working on everything from creating engaging content through to designing and developing online experiences. The team also manages business as usual management of the external website.

  • Bachelor of Management (Marketing), University of South Australia
  • Graduate Diploma in Editing and Publishing, University of Southern Queensland
  • Graduate Diploma in Internet Communication Strategies, University of South Australia
Key responsibilities

As Web Lead I am responsible for:

  • ongoing management of the University’s externally facing website
  • planning, developing and maintaining the University’s external website presence and content strategy, and for continual innovation and improvement
  • providing strategic direction and leadership on the website content strategy and governance working with colleagues across the University
  • leading the work of project staff (content coordinators and producers, a copywriter, videographer, a web automation lead, web designers and developers) that design, develop and implement new functionality and content to the University website.
