Azmiri is a part-time Topic Coordinator and Lecturer in Social Work. She has extensive leadership and management experience in both the government and non-government sectors. She has worked in health, mental health, Indigenous health, education, aged care quality and compliance and disability employment sectors.
Azmiri is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and has a private practice providing counselling, employee assistance services, management support and training to organisations. Azmiri's area of interest is mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and implementing management practices to support that in organisations. She is committed in working with the Indigenous and the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities, in particular the Muslim community in SA and has substantial experience in this area.
She has a Bachelor and Master of Social Work, a GradDip in Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & Women’s Studies). Azmiri's Phd explores how to retain the Indigenous Workforce in mainstream organisations in Australia.
