Lecturer (Teaching Specialist (Acad))
College of Medicine and Public Health
Working as a lecturer of medical education in the South Australian Rural Medical Program (Riverland), I am passionate about rural education and the development of future rural doctors. My main areas of education are in anatomy, pathology and histology, primarily teaching into the Science & Scholarship domain of the MD program.
My research background saw me complete my PhD in Biomedicine where I explored predictor factors of cognitive and mood trajectories in individuals following traumatic brain injury and those living with Parkinson's Disease. Working closely with these individuals enhanced my interest in improving clinical outcomes in clinical settings and has inspired me to work closely within current and future clinicians to raise awareness and guide better practice.
PhD in Biomedicine
Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Honours)
Bachelor of Psychological Sciences
I am passionate about human anatomy and how the body changes in the presence of pathology and disease. I am also an advocate for research practices and am enthusiastic about research skill development amongst MD students.
