Carmela is a business manager with expertise in translating and commercialising health and medical research. She has strong skills in research development including developing research strategy, securing funding, developing relationships and shared value propositions in complex and multidisciplinary environments. Her expertise extends from metropolitan to rural, regional and remote health context and across major schemes such as CRC, MRFF and ARC ITRP. Carmela has specialist skills in developing university/industry relationships and international partnerships broadly across health, including medical and assistive devices, digital health, mental health, health sciences and health and medical disciplines.
She is passionate about translating research outcomes to benefit society.
