My main research interests are in animal behaviour, behavioural ecology and evolution. My research focuses on learning, behaviour and cultural evolution in Australasian songbirds. My honours project examined the acoustic discrimination of the superb fairy-wren to the songs of adult cuckoos, which parasitise the nests of fairy-wrens. My PhD research examined female song, song learning, and song sex differences in the superb fairy-wren.
