Cindy is an Extended Care Paramedic (0.5 FTE) at SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) and a Post-Doctoral research fellow (0.5 FTE) with the Australian Resuscitation Consortium (Aus-ROC). She is a Fellow of Paramedics Australasia and a representative on the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) committee in South Australia. Cindy is a committee member of the SAAS research review committee and manages the SAAS Cardiac Arrest Registry (SAAS-CAR), a state-wide database of out of hospital cardiac arrests in South Australia.

Research interests

Cindy holds a senior clinical position in SAAS and thus has extensive knowledge of the delivery of prehospital care and matters relating to clinical performance and patient safety. With her research experience in this industry, Cindy is able to navigate the unique challenges of undertaking Prehospital Emergency Care research, particularly ethical requirements, paramedic training, data collection and linking pre-hospital to in-hospital patient outcomes. Her research interests are prehospital care in general, more specifically: airway management, treatment in the home, out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA).
