Dr Lane works as a Lecturer in Palliative and Supportive services and lectures in a range of units. Geraldine worked as a nurse for over 20 years and has extensive experience working in Palliative Care and Gerontology positions; she has a special interest in online learning, Palliative Care and Applied Gerontology. Geraldine also trained as a teacher and teaches in units within the School of Education and has taught for Flinders University since 2008. Geraldine completed her PhD through the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Flinders University; her thesis is based on the health benefits of working with a guide dog and is titled 'Theres more to a Dog Guide than meets the Eye': A Mixed Methods Investigation into the Self-Reported Benefits of Having a Dog Guide.
