Jo has over 25 years of clinical and management experience in health and aged care and is an APA titled Gerontological Physiotherapist. Jo has experience in research co-design, consulting, coordinating, and presenting professional development programs

Key responsibilities

Promotion of ARIIA and Aged Care Incubator programs and services•Managing and addressing initial client contacts and enquiries, meeting with stakeholders and screening requests/applications•Fostering cross-sector collaborations and partnerships between national and international technology innovators, aged care providers, researchers and industry providers to co-design, test, and implement innovative solutions to meet the needs of aged care providers and workforce, or solve aged care problems•Delivery of the formal incubator program, including the selection of participants, course development, sourcing experts, activity/event coordination and facilitation•Participating and coordinating incubator and accelerator program activities to foster innovation, improve and streamline the innovation lifecycle for the aged care sector to ensure better product-market fit and to improve the capability of innovators and technology/product companies to work with the aged care sector•Providing direction and advice for start ups and early stage innovators and technology/ product companies entering the aged care sector•Increasing capability of national and international innovators, technology/ industry companies and researchers to work with the aged care sector•Supporting organisations with impactful projects through the provision of coaching and support, facilitating the early ideation stage, planning and development of project plans, through to supporting pilots/ trial/project implementation and scaling of solutions focused on the aged care sector and workforce•Facilitating ARIIA’s Capacity building programs for aged care workforce nationally, online and in-person•Project management and/or involvement in commercial ARIIA projects•Creating market opportunity reports for the ARIIA x MDPP Ideas Incubator Program•Identifying, engaging, and recruiting internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to participate in program activities•Identifying relevant grants and funding streams for projects•Business development activities that focus on fostering, monitoring and maintaining relationships with stakeholders•Representing ARIIA internally and externally at conferences events and industry advisory groups•Delivering high quality presentations and documentation to support the promotion of ARIIA's programs•Working collaboratively with ARIIA staff to support ARIIA activities and projects•
