Juli is a Registered Nurse working as a Technical Officer (Simulation Focus) at the Health Care Simulation Hub within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Juli has a strong clinical background predominantly in Emergency Nursing (12 years), also aged care, medical palliative, and surgical areas with releiving in ICU and Chemotherapy. This grounded nursing skill and broad knowledge base in chronic and acute presentations, universal to multiple nursing environments, assists in the provision of authentic clinical simulation experiences in the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

Technical Officer (Simulation Focus)

Liaise with Topic Coordinators and Academic staff to prepare the laboratory environment for simulation based clinical skills workshops in accordance with University course requirments.

Technical support in current, new and emerging technologies ranging from task trainers to high fidelity simulators requiring IT and AV knowledge. Provide education, advice and instruction to staff on simulation equipment functions and capabilities to ensure safe operation.

Liaise and collaborate with manufacturers, industry partners and company representatives to ensure product support, maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure minimal impact to the student experience.
