Kathina is a Registered Psychologist, Research Fellow at the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University and Research Associate at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), Adelaide. Kathina completed her PhD (Clinical Psychology) at the Australian National University in 2020 investigating help-seeking barriers and online peer-to-peer support for eating disorders.

As a core member of the Be Well Lab, she has a strong interest in developing, implementing and disseminating digital interventions (e.g., Internet-based programs, Podcasts) for the promotion of wellbeing and the prevention and early intervention of mental health problems. She also has a specific research and clinical interest in the area of eating disorders. Kathina has attracted national and international grant funding to support her research and has published widely high impact journals.
