Kristie Molloy is a practising criminal law and personal injuries barrister. She is the Head of Legoe Chambers and has been at the Independent Bar since 2008. She is a member of the South Australian Bar Association and South Australian Law Society. She is also a panel member for the Litigation Assistance Fund.
Kristie is the Topic Coordinator for both Evidence and PLT: Criminal Practice & Advocacy as part of the Professional Programs Unit. She is passionate about teaching law to students in an engaging and interactive manner. She is able to use her extensive industry experience to teach students complicated concepts in easy to follow ways, with practical real life examples. Kristie is also very proud of the quality and members of the legal profession that provide guest presentations and demonstrations as part of both courses.
Kristie has always been involved in training junior practitioners, assisting students and teaching advocacy.
She is also a strong supporter of the national charity HeartKids, which raises awareness and funds for childhood heart disease. This arose after her own daughter was born in 2014 with a major congenital heart defect, requiring multiple open heart surgeries. Kristie is a former Board member and secretary of the South Australian branch of HeartKids SA/NT.
