Since 1978 Lesley has worked in education in hospital programs and as the Principal Nurse Educator with the Royal District Nursing Society SA 1984-1987 and since the transfer of nursing education to the higher education sector as a university lecturer. Lesley has also variously held director of nursing and consulting positions in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Indonesia. Her director of nursing roles have included responsibiity for rural hospitals and aged care facilities achieving accrediation for these organisations.
Higher Education roles: Lecturer Nursing, South Australian College of Advanced Education - Sturt; Lecturer Nursing, Ballarat University; Senior Lecturer Nursing/Rural Health, School of Health Sciences LaTrobe University- Bendigo; and currently as Senior Lecturer Nursing/Aged Care SoNM Flinders University.
Teaching involvement - Lesley contributes as a lecturer in a number of topics where she teaches TeamSTEPPS clinical communication, leadership, management, risk management, history of nursing, corporate governance including continuous quality improvement.
